SALARY
: $33.86/hr first 60 days then $34.56/hr after the first 60 days

• Saturdays 1.5x and Sundays/Holidays 2x pay

  • Overtime Monday through Friday (OT rate of 1.5x the hourly pay)

SHIFT: Must be comfortable on any one of three shifts, 1st: 11PM to 7AM. 2nd: 7AM to 3PM. 3rd: 3PM to 11PM. Holidays and weekends are also required .

ROLE SUMMARY :

As a Lab Analyst in Columbus, you will have the opportunity to perform various studies, statistical analysis, and participate in PDCA teams to improve quality throughout the brewery. You will also:

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Run routine analytical analyses on beer samples including: pH, ballings, alcohol, sodium, and iron.

  • Run routine analyses of packaged beer for oxygen, carbon dioxide, fill level, etc.

  • Routine testing of pasteurizers for proper pasteurization.

  • Conduct inspection and analysis of package integrity and specifications.

  • Coordinate quality analyses ensuring accurate results, timely completion, and proper responses and notification.

  • Perform various studies, statistical analysis, participate in PDCA teams to improve quality throughout the brewery.

  • Other routine laboratory testing, as needed.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a science-intensive discipline (e.g. Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, etc.)

  • Ability to operate laboratory instruments and perform instrument maintenance. Comfortable working with drill press and electric cutting saw.

  • Knowledge of basic laboratory procedures and techniques.

  • Strong technical, troubleshooting, 5S, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills.

  • Solid interpersonal skills and team orientation.

  • Must be flexible to work varying shifts during the week. Weekends and holidays may be required.

  • Comfortable working in a production environment.

  • Skilled in Minitab, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
